Easy Drive

Driving from the Gold Coast to Noosa is so easy now we made the trip in slightly over two hours. Noosa and the Gold Coast couldn't be more different it certainly is loosa in Noosa. Staying at 'on the beach' had so may advantages, the clever use of space in our room, the view of the beach, and being right in the centre of Hasting Street, the hub of Noosa, has so many advatages. A holiday without the 'Parking' hassle is therapy.

The extra bonus was no noise, we have stayed in other accommodation in Hasting Street before and although it was very luxurious the late partying in the street was disturbing. A small luxury but very useful the telephone at 'on the beach' - had direct lines to airlines, cinema,Berrados etc. Nice touch. We loved our blacony and tub, found the glass dome shower amusing, and liked our bijou sitting area with views of the beach and surfers.

Our 3 night break has us planning for more. Many thanks 'on the beach'.

This was our 10th visit to Noosa, so we have very much narrowed down what we like to do, for us a walk around the heads is a must, and we like the beach, Shopping in Hasting street is resort, the shops have that casual, beach living feel, jewellery, sea shells and silk. A couple of nice gallery's. Men's shops. Hats and sunglasses. And the bookshops are a delight. Must mention the fabulous selection of beachwear for men and women that would take you from Noosa to the Bahamas, with an elegant stopover in Hawaii.

We love eating in Noosa, Bistro C for lunch Berrados for dinner Vidas for intimacy. Always friendly, service. Sitting in the Deli with coffee and cake watching the strolling shoppers is a must.

Alert - Couple style accomodation. Children not welcome.

The accomodation and facilities were definitely top notch however, when booking I was not told that children were not welcome, despite the fact that I clearly indicated I would be travelling with a 6 year old. Although they allowed me to stay, it was clear that my son needed to be on his very best behaviour. We were not allowed to have friends back to share the pool, which was very disappointing since it meant that my son did not feel the pool was much fun just with me and no other kids.

Given the state of Noosa's beaches on this holiday, the pool would have been welcome relief. Highly recommended accomodation FOR COUPLES ONLY.

It was our first visit to Noosa, so I am not sure what the beaches are normally like, but I expected a more idyllic setting. The weather made an unfortunate mess of the beaches with safe swimming only during a few hours during the day and at a limited number of beaches.

We enjoyed some non beach activities such as kayaking on the river, cycling, the Australia Zoo, and bush walking in the National Park.

I found the atmosphere on Hasting Street a bit pretentious.

Luxury on the Beach at Noosa

"On The Beach" is a wonderful small luxury apartment complex beachfront on Hastings St. We went for a short luxurious break away from the kids! We were not disappointed. The apartments have been completely renovated and no small details have been excluded, even down to daily crossaints/paper left on the door each morning. Enjoyed a glass of champagne in our private spa bath outside bedroom looking out to the ocean.

Staff were wonderful and service was excellent. Could not fault it for a luxury holiday.
